Sometimes my paramedic unit would be out in the middle of the night with some fire crew, and I'd be bored, so I'd snap a few shots.... and the Fire Captain would come over and say, "Excuse me, is this a fire scene or a photo shoot?"
And I'd look indignantly at him and say, "Well Captain, it's pretty obvious that this is a photo shoot, and it you want to make my composition better, you could go stand over there next to your men, so I will have an extra guy in the shot... that's it captain, now turn your head a bit so the reflection of the fire is in your face.... oh perfect... that's what I was looking for....
So after I took pictures which ended up on my friends public safety website, a gentlemen in New York named Michael Heller called me up one day and asked if he could represent my photography through his company 911 Picture.
