Once upon a time, there was a Councilwoman in San Diego named Donna Frye, who decided five weeks before the general election in 2004, to run as a write in candidate for Mayor.

At the time it was dismissed as an impossible task, and some thought it was just laughable, but I had always been inspired by her, so I decided to design a series of posters for her campaign.

Although she didn't win, she came very close, and her candidacy rocked this town like an earthquake.

I had a great experience collaborating with Donna on posters and photo shoots. And I especially loved the thank you card we designed to give to her supporters after the election.

And in the spring of 2006 here are the posters for Donna's city council campaign for re-election to District 6.
